About Michelle
I am a former Emmy Award-winning television reporter who has worked at ABC, NBC and FOX affiliates. From the glimmering stages of beauty pageants to the bright lights of television news and movie sets, I mastered the art of appearing flawless, presenting a facade that was polished, neutral, and untouched by the chaos swirling behind the scenes. For years, I learned to navigate two conflicting identities: the poised public figure and the scattered life of a working mother yearning for authenticity.
My professional persona dictated how I should look, sound, and feel, leaving me lost in a performance that didn't reflect who I truly was. In 2018, life took an unexpected turn for me and I became a single parent of three while working in a toxic work situation. Luckily, I discovered mindfulness- a powerful coping tool that became my lifeline.
In 2020, I started a non-profit called the We Just Breathe Foundation, dedicated to teaching mindfulness to children and empowering the next generation to find inner peace amidst life's challenges.
I am now LIVING rather than just existing. I host the Mindful Mamacita podcast, a platform highlighting female change-makers, and have started an inclusive online community that promotes unity, resilience, and authenticity among women. My goal is to uplift those who feel unseen and remind them that they, too, can rise. My journey is proof that even in the darkest times, we can find out light and share it with the world.
